Bilingual Bird Walk

Included with admission or membershipDescanso Gardens is a birding hot spot! Join naturalist Thania Jacqueline Bejarano for this bilingual (English/Spanish) program to get started on your birding journey on Saturday, August 10.
We’ll first meet in the Courtyard at 9:30am, head into a classroom to learn some birding basics, and then it’s off to the gardens to observe birds in their natural habitats.
Attendees are encouraged to bring binoculars, but don’t worry if you don’t have any – sets will be available to borrow during the event while supplies last. Please wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate outerwear, and feel free to bring a water bottle.
Meets in the Courtyard. Free with admission, no registration required.
About Thania Jacqueline Bejarano
Thania Jacqueline Bejarano (she/her) is a California-native naturalist, bird enthusiast, and all around adventurer. She obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of California San Diego and primarily works as an outdoor educator and program director for Positive Adventures to help connect students (4th–8th) to California’s State and National Parks. She introduces students to various outdoor activities such as bird watching, plant identification, day-hikes, kayaking, outdoor rock climbing, and backpacking.
