End of Summer Celebration

Exclusively for Descanso Gardens members and La Cañada Flintridge residents
Descanso members and La Cañada Flintridge residents are invited to an exclusive evening in the gardens as we celebrate the end of another fantastic summer on September 20 from 5–7pm.
The evening will have live music throughout the garden, a makers’ night featuring local artisans, hands-on activities, and much more.
Free with membership and to La Cañada Flintridge residents, no registration required.

- 5pm, 6pm: Jamie Elman playing piano at the Sturt Haaga Gallery patio
- 5pm, 6pm: Philip Graulty playing acoustic guitar in the Rose Garden Pavilion
- 5pm, 6pm: Fang Fang Xu playing the cello in the Japanese Garden
Activities
- Meet the Makers shopping event at Center Circle
- Horticulture display at Mulberry Pond
- Preview of upcoming garden improvements at the Lake House. Learn about the Stormwater Capture, Lake, and Nature Discovery Garden projects.
- HWAJODO art exhibition at the gallery
Tours
- Tours of the Ruth Borun Nursery and Propagation Center
- Meet at Mulberry Pond
- Tours start at 5, 5:30, 6, and 6:30pm
Family Fun
- Decorate a Seed Packet on the Main Lawn
- Camellia Creations on the Main Lawn
- Descanso Railroad will be open
Refreshments will be available for purchase in the Courtyard and at pop-up bars in the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, and on the Boddy House lawn.
