Member Nursery Tour

Join this members-only tour to see horticulture in action! Meet in the Courtyard and walk to the Ruth Borun Nursery and Propagation Center.
The nursery serves as the backbone for growing, protecting, and enhancing the Descanso Gardens’ collections.
From growing annual plants for the Promenade, to establishing new varieties of native California species, to “backing up” and saving clones of our historic lilac, camellia, and rose varieties via rooted cuttings, the nursery is constantly active and working on projects of all types.
