Shadow Puppet Workshop

August 29 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

$10 – $15

Witness folktales take flight as artist Leslie K. Gray and her shadow puppets bring butterfly stories to life on August 29 from 5–6:30pm.

A short shadow puppet presentation will be followed by a hands-on workshop where you will get to make your own puppets and try your hand at shadow puppet theater. 

$10 for members, $15 for non-members. Click here to purchase tickets.

Materials will be provided. All ages are welcome. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

About Leslie K. Gray

Leslie K. Gray is an LA Native, visual artist and theater designer. She created the popular Winged Reflections installation of brilliantly colored acrylic butterflies for Descanso’s Rose Garden in 2021.

Her puppetry theater work has been featured at Descanso as well as the Skirball Cultural Center, The Getty, Highways Performance Space and internationally. For more of her work, please visit haikupenguin.com.
